Equine Assisted Psychotherapy & Learning

WHY HORSES?
Equine assisted counselling in Staffordshire
The power of the horse influences people in amazing ways. They help us to trust and connect with ourselves and develop relationships.  Horses are large and powerful, which creates a natural opportunity to enable us to overcome our fears, anxieties and help to develop our confidence.

Horses are sensitive to non-verbal communication and respond to messages we give them, in the moment.  They react to our emotions and give us the space to explore our feelings.  They often help us to grow and change more quickly than we can with more traditional interventions.
EQUINE ASSISTED PSYCHOTHERAPY (EAP)

EAP integrates being with the horses experientially, a form of psychotherapy to support emotional/Mental Health issues carried forward from events and experiences from the past into the present.

EQUINE ASSISTED LEARNING  (EAL)

EAL is experiential and solution focussed, working in the present and looking to the future. The focus is on self-development and learning to help improve life skills such as respect, trust, confidence, building relationships, deeper self-awareness and improved communication.  The equine assisted activities are chosen specifically to meet your identified goals.

All activities are ground based and no riding is involved.
